Foundation
DIHA was formed in 1959 and is one of the oldest and most prestigious associations in the East Lauderdale area. Its mission is to support growing our community by maintaining and improving the appearance and integrity of our neighborhood. Over the years, we have worked closely with Broward County and City of Fort Lauderdale officials to make improvements to our community and oppose initiatives that would detract from its beauty and value. Among other things, we are responsible for the sidewalks, lights, and other upgrades; new North Gate access to Birch State Park; the walkway from Dolphin Isles to A1A between the Vue and Shore Club condos; the Dolphin Isles monuments; and numerous other improvements to our neighborhood.

Operation
The operation of Dolphin Isles Homeowners’ Association is governed by a board of volunteer directors. The five Board members are elected on an annual basis by the community. Elections are held at the annual homeowners meeting in October. The Board is responsible for overseeing the daily functions and financial responsibilities of the Association and setting the upcoming priorities. We encourage everyone to attend in person if possible and if not, to visit our website for the summary of projects and upcoming events.
